APS System works at extremely low temperature, below -32 °C, ensuring the perfect conditions to store human plasma. All operations are managed outside the freezer room by using the touch screen and barcode scanner. Warehouse Management System (WMS Hydra) is designed for plasma stock management and works under ISBT 128 code standard, and can be integrated with local Blood Management System. The capacity of the APS system (MK10-50 P series) can be adjusted and ranges from 5,000 to 25,000 plasma units [250 ml].

One of the CoolSystems solution was implemented in Blood Donation Center in Gdańsk. The turn key project was delivered within the scope: basic design, executive design, construction of the new building, finishing works, devices supply, APS System MK50 P installation, standard plasma storage installation.

Two twin APS Systems MK42 P implemented in Blood Donation Centre in Warsaw to expand the plasma warehouse capacity and make the process automated.

Effective plasma storage requires optimal use of the freezer room space. Plasma storage on a gravity pallet racking system ensures ease of use along with a large storage capacity in a relatively small area.

This robot delivers automation of the tube sealing process and labeling of blood sample segments used for pre-transfusion cross-testing. Among the key advantages of the device, there is the streamlining of personnel work, convenience in use, and practical minimization of concatenation-related risks.

20 seconds is the time needed to prepare and validate up to 6 blood sample segments, with one person being able to operate two machines at the same time. These solutions have been successfully implemented at the Polish Blood Donation Centres.
